"Leaders must be close enough to relate to others, but far enough ahead to motivate."
- John C. Maxwell
I love to spread positivity, encouragement, and innovative instructional practices with other educators. Edutopia posted an article listing 11 Habits of an Effective Teacher. I believe these habits apply to all educators and I strive to do this everyday!
"The best leaders create more leaders. Leadership is unlocking people’s potential to become better."
Thanks for visiting my website. I'm a wife, mother, educator, learner, leader, change agent, innovator, and much more. I have a passion for cultivating a culture of learning, collaboration, and innovation in education.
I have a variety of experience in K-12 and Higher Education. I spent about 15 years working in the Francis Howell School District in St. Charles, Missouri as a teacher and district instructional technology specialist. Today, I wear many educational leadership hats. I'm an Educational Innovation Consultant, University Instructor, and I'm the Learning and Innovation Manager for a New York based company called Schoology. I get the opportunity to work with educators across the U.S. on a daily basis. I also get to utilize my innovative mindset to create short and long-term professional development programs for educators around the United States. I'm very active in the educational technology field around the State of Missouri and the Midwest region. I present and speak at state, regional, and national conferences. I was the Co-President of the Educational Technology Association of Greater St. Louis for several years and the organization thrived under my leadership by becoming an affiliate of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE). I'm also an ISTE Making IT Happen Leader.
